6 Days of Swing On In Dancing … It’s a Social Frenzy!! Who’s coming??

Hey  there Dancers!!  A Huge 5 day Weekend coming up for social dancing and catching up on the dance floor or just tapping your toes with likeminded peeps… Here’s whats spinning around your neighbourhood!  Catch you on the dance floor!..  Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday!  Can you Do it???

  1. FRIDAY NIGHT 7th April – Swing Out with Swing On In – Nerang Community Hall, 34 Price Street, Nerang
    Ready to burn some holes into those soles with your swivels, swingouts and style?  Join us for our monthly social dance on the best little dance floor in qld.. great friends, community spirit, AWESOME music and great dancing. Swing-A-Billy Ray and guest DJ’s will keep you toe tappin and dancin all night. 8PM til late.. BYO your refreshments and $10 at the door for dancers.. FREE for new non dancing guests that just want to see what its all about! (Time to bring your friends!!)
  2. SATURDAY 8th April:   BLEACH FESTIVAL HAVE ASKED THE SWING ON IN DANCERS  for a Social Performance then social dancing with YOU all.,.. Shim Sham and then Swinging Tunes for you all to dance too.. We only have the floor from 5pm to 5.30pm so come along and dance with us…  We can kick on afterwards.  Meet us at Cnr Fifth Ave and GC Hwy Palm Beach at say 4.30pm so we can organise us all.  Ray’s mobile is 0408306560  Here is the Bleach FB Event and Website for Further Info…  See you all there..  PS:  WHERE YOUR BEST HAWAIIAN OR GOLD COAST BEACH/SURF ATTIRE…  Miss Tahlia will be there with her expert lens taking pics for us too!
  3. SUNDAY 9th April – 12 Noon to 6pm – Anytime in between – It'[s our Swing Dance Flashmob (Calypso Style) at the QT Hotel, 7 Staghorn Ave, Surfers Paradise as Part of the Pin Up Pool Party fun.  It’s a SUPER day, Sipping Cocktails in your summers and dancing to a live band mixing in Rays sleeted swing tunes all the while eating, swimming or just playing the giant Jenga!!  Come and dance with us on the Astro Turf for the End of  Summer Pool Party and Dance..
  4. MONDAY 10th April – Swing Dancing Social Practice @ Nerang Hall, 34 Price Street, Nerang – 7.30pm to 9.30pm – Last Week was a hoot with so many of you taking on the challenge to push your dancing further.. A great Vibe and a fabulous kickstart to the new week!  Keep the momentum going.  (This is not a class)
  5. TUESDAY 11th April – Club Mermaid Loves us and we love them.. Great atmosphere, great food & bev, great vibe and the April 4 x 4 challenges begin.. Roll on up for beginners at 6.30pmthen push through transition where we will take you to the next level  – this class is more technical (Yes it has to pop up somewhere) and we teach yo about the importance of the lead and follow as well as introducing other basic rhythms.  Then up the temp goes and the Int/adv kids kick on..  All welcome.
  6. WEDNESDAY 12 April – Bangalow Bowlo.. If you’ve not been down to this class, jump in the carpool with Mark Tippet and going the fun!  The thing with Bangalow is that it has the best dance floor in Australia (We believe), it’s our biggest class so you will be sure to meet new friends, dance with many different levels and laugh very hard throughout the night.  The other thing about Bangalow is that the Food at the Bowlo is legendary…  The past couple of weeks our SOI community down that way have been rocked by flood, cyclone remnant and storms causing mayhem all over the place so we want to give them some love, sending all our positive vibes, thoughts, prayers and muscle their way for a quick recover and we hope you guys can get through and lighten your week up at class again…PHEW!!!  WE DID IT!  DID YOU?

Another important date to put int your diaries:

SATURDAY 12th of August is our Once A Year Ball.. “A Very Swellegant Affair” is ONJ.. It’s a Red Carpet, Dress Up Affair with an Orchestra, 3 amazing and talented Jazz/Swing Singers plus dance demonstrations and random vaudevillian acts entertaining you all night (These details will be announced next week)  It Includes, drinks on arrival, Canapés/Light Supper and Pre-paid Drink Vouchers for Alcohol (Full Bar).  Here is a Video of last years event to get you Excited!!
