It’s party season and Swing On In have some fun and interesting events coming up that you MUST come and dance and play and have fun at! We are always trying to offer different experiences for our dancers and friends and the following is ticking those boxes nicely:

This little social is definitely a hotspot for dancers Every 2nd Thursday.. We will continue this through to Christmas at this stage and the dates are:
5/9/19, 19/9/19, 3/10/19, 17/10/19, 31/10/19, 14/11/19,28/11/19, 12/12/19..
Address is: Shop 6/23 Musgrave Ave, Chrin Park
Food, Drinks , great space, great music and fabulous dancing company! Get along. 6.30pm to 9.30pm

SWINGIN 60’S DANCE PARTY – Brisbane Powerhouse – Wonderland Festival – FRIDAY 22 NOVEMBER 2019

Last year was such a magical night…

Last year was such a magical night that the Powers that be at the Brisbane Powerhouse asked us to create another night of magic under the stars again this year as part of the Wonderland Festival https://brisbanepowerhouse.org/festivals/wonderland-festival-2019/ In fact, we will be kicking the festival off with a banging good shindig for you all to come along and dance to!

We are working to put together a fabulous band for you and am excited if we can pull this one off! Stay tuned!

Yes there is a dance floor like last year. |
Yes the band will be playing dance music for your swing/blues, shag, R&R, Swinging 60’s, ballroom, or whatever dance style you like, we will cover it all.
Yes, Swing A Billy Ray is your in between DJ, spinning all your favourites.
Yes there will be a Best Dressed section again
Yes there will be a photobooth
Yes there will be Food and Cocktails/full bar
Yes there will be an afterparty inside like last year after the 10am finish of band outside.
Yes it is all free.

I will be posting some images and video from last year to remind you how amazing this venue is and leading up to we will relate some ideas on what to wear etc..

END OF YEAR DANCE PARTY – TBC – Friday 6 December

At this stage we have flagged Friday 6 December at the Bangalow Bowlo. The decision for this date and venue was the general consensus amongst those we got to speak to. We will have a band and of course we all know its the best little dance floor around . More details to come.

HOTA – Trocadero Dance under the stars – Friday 13 December 2019

Calling all dancers, beginners to advanced who would like to dress up and fill the dance floor to a live band? Yes, The team at “Everybody Dance Now” have asked us to bring all the fancy to the floor.. Imagine you are entering one of the grandest old ballrooms (except it will be under the stars) and the music is swinging and the floor is filled with dancers in their their finest gear swirling and twirling.. As a guest arriving that would be a sight to behold…

You don’t have to be the best swing dance int he world to join in on this experience, you just have to look good, enjoy yourself and fill the space with movement.

Dress: Imagine our Very Swellegant Affair or going to a 1940’s swing ball!
Cost: FREE

More details to come but mark the date! This will be a fun party! (There will be a twist!)

One Night Only – Class Change for Gold Coast:

NOTE: Tuesday 10 September, One Night Only, the Gold Coast Class will be held at Ground and Sound due to a works being done at the Mermaid Bowls Club that week.
