So… Not many of you new to swing would know the history of this Swingsation Wintersun Ball. Ray Keepence and myself spent many long years getting to this night showcased here on this video at the SwingsationBall at Wintersun. In fact it took us nearly 12 years to get to this night but it happened and where was I? In Hospital up the road (I caught a dreadful flu) 1000 people were at this 10th anniversary swing ball and it was amazing… Without Barry McNamara giving us 100% support in this venture it would never have Happened. He trusted us…
On the 3rd of December this year for our A Very Swellegant Affair – Brought to by Swing On In , Ray and I are kicking off with a vision to one day get to back to this level of Ball. This year we have 200 people, next year??
So proud of what we have achieved but not all on our own mind you.. the bands, the swing dancers and in fact the australia wide swing dance scene who used to fly up for this event made it the premier swing dance event in Australia for many ears until obviously the demise of Wintersun as we knew it… Still… We have our future… So, lets all grow together….
