We get asked to do a lot of stuff and most of it is for the love of it BUT that’s OK, because it all serves to get Swing Dancing and the joy of it.. OUT THERE!!!..  BUT we could not do it without you! Swing Dancing (as you know) is a fabulous spectacle and the more dancers, the more spectacular….. so when we ask you guys to come and join us at events, know that 1)… you are appreciated and 2) you are Spectacular!!! and 3).. The Public LOVE IT!    Thanks for all those dancers that came our an represented Swing On In at Zest and Viva Festivals last week.  Everyonhe had a great time and the Gold Coast Turned on some crackin good weather…

The Swingin Bowlo Picnic – Our First Sunday Session at the Bowlo and what a turn out!!!… Thanks for coming.  Thanks to Tahlia (Our Swing On In Kitten Photographer), thanks to Troy, Kerry and Caity for capturing the essence of the day and that was CHILLAXED FUN!  Thanks for everyone who came.  Thanks to the Bangalow Bowlo Team for having us and thank you Ryhdian Lewis for the sweet tunes!

MONDAY SOCIALS – Every Week:

WOW… Who’d a thought you could get anything for only FIVE BUCKS these days!  Well, Monday Nights are gaining momentum and seems everyone is lovin the practice time…  Leads/Follower ratio ebbs and flows in most schools but seems our leads love to practice so are out numbering the follows!  Ladies, don’t be shy, pop along for some social dancing practice time.  Nerang Community Hall – 34 Price Street, Nerang. 7.30pm to 9.30pm, BYO Refreshments  ***NB***: THIS IS NOT A DANCE CLASS but we are there to help if needed.  THIS SHOULD NOT REPLACE YOUR REGULAR DANCE CLASS TIME 🙂

 

Miss Fishers Jazz Age Lawn Party – 24 July – THIS SUNDAY!!  It’s gonna be huge…

Well ain’t this just the Cat’s Meow! Who’s coming? This will be a FABULOUS day on the beautiful lawns of Old Government House, Queensland There will be Jazz Music, Bands/DJ’s, Swing Dancing with Empire Swing, Our Pop Up Pamper Station with The Lindy Charm School, A Suitcase Rummage, Lots of Food and is guaranteed to be a very spiffy occasion indeed. Grab your picnic blanket and come along and enjoy this FREE event… 10AM TO 2PM – Sunday 24th of July. SWING On In will be there too!

You’re invited to spend a splendid Sunday at Miss Fisher’s Lawn Party, in conjunction with the Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries Costume Exhibition.

Enjoy a family day out on Old Government House’s picturesque lawn. To the tune of a live band, dance the day away with our swing dancing classes or be pampered to 1920s perfection at The Lindy Charm School’s pop-up salon. Phryne wouldn’t miss it!

Make the day even more special with a picnic on the lawn. Pre-order a picnic hamper and enjoy a 1920s themed picnic (waldorf baguette, savoury tart, and deliciously sweet melting moments) on the lawn. We even have the little ones covered with a mini hamper that includes all of the favorites.

CONGRATULATIONS to one of our gorgeous Swing Dancers who has made it in to the Pin Ups on Parade at Greazefest this year! Janelle Mason is killing it on the Pin Up Scene..  You can follow her journey under Madame.Mason  …  Moi (Miss Chrissy) will be Emceeing these Pin Up Parades in Brisbane and it’s going to be so much fun!  Who Can Wolf Whistle???

Haven’t heard of GREAZEFEST?  Well The Lindy Charm School (Moi) sets up and styles all day, does the Emcee for the Pin Ups on Parade both days and generally has a whole lotta fun.  Great Bands (Yes you can dance to them all!) and great catch up, a little bit left of field for some perhaps but hey!  lets live a little and try everything.  See ya there!
