Swing into September with Exciting Updates and Events!

Hello Swing Dancers,

We hope you’re all grooving to the rhythm of life and having a fantastic time on the dance floor. We’ve got some important updates and exciting events to share with you in this edition of our newsletter.

**1. Double Booking Alert:**

We want to remind everyone to avoid double booking your classes. There will be no Mullumbimby classes on THIS Thursday night. However, if you’re up for a little adventure, you can carpool with us to the Wednesday night Gold Coast class and hang out with the Lindy Hop crew. Your class fee will be half price on this special occasion!

**2. Lindy Hop Revival:**
As we bid farewell to boogie-woogie for a while, get ready to dive back into the fabulous Lindy Hop. But wait, there’s a twist! We’ll be throwing in a few curveballs to keep you on your toes, ensuring that you’re always learning, always having fun, and always mixing it up on the dance floor!
**3. Main Beach Street Festival – Saturday, September 9:**
Mark your calendars because the main Beach Street Festival is just around the corner, happening THIS Saturday, September 9th, from 4 pm till 8 pm. We’ll be performing and would love for all of you to join us for some social dancing..  Having a large Swing Dance presence helps us all, let’s get the Gold Coast knowing about Lindy Hop!  Expect live bands, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a great social catch-up. The location is Tedder Avenue, Main Beach, at 4 pm. Come dance with us and let us know if you can make it!
**4. Workshops – Sunday, September 10:**

We’ve got some exciting workshops lined up for the rest of the year BUT for THIS for Sunday, September 10th, we need your help to make it happen. Please email us ASAP if you plan to attend as we currently have only a few sign-ups. We might need to postpone if the numbers don’t increase, so your participation is crucial to make these workshops a success!  Details:

11am – 3pm (Includes a Lunch Break)
Introduction to Troupe… in this workshop we start to learn the fundamentals of performing and how to be dynamic working as a team. We will be speeding up your basics, adding in classic performance moves. We will finish with a little performance routine.
The Sunday Wind Down Dance – 3pm – 5pm

 A VERY FABULOUS AFFAIR – CHARITY SUPPER DANCE

About what just happened over the weekend!!  – WOW!  We did it!  A Very Fabulous Affair Charity Supper Dance for Beauties Feeling Fabulous was a sold out show and Oh what a night!  Thos who came last night have not stopped complimenting and raving about how amazing it was from the decor to the entertainment  choices to the food!  I think we can safely say it was a success!  Our little charity does so much with very little and events like these bring awareness and much needed funds to the cause.
