From Lindy Hop to Balboa, from Cabaret to Blues and then some… we are doing it all… Swing On In for Bo Peep!

With so much going on at the moment, its easy to miss events mentioned at class or on the social media hills hoist line that seems to spin out of control at times and for that reason today I am listing whats coming up over the next couple of months so you can mark your calendars, invite your friends and Swing On In for some social dancing fun as well as the required learnings to get your feet moving.. Ready?

Classes:

Monday Nights:  These social practice sessions that run from 7.30 to 9.30pm for $5 are growing in popularity.  Nerang Community Hall is the place to be for some extra practice time (No class)

Tuesdays:

As you probably have heard on the grapevine or at classes, we are offering Sepcialty Classes now on a Tuesday night at Club Mermaid (Mermaid Beach Bowls Club).  We Started with a Bob Fosse Cabaret Night with Amanda DB from our Gold Coast Classes for last Tuesday which was amazing.  (Video highlights below) and Next Tuesday 6th of February will see our First Balboa Class with Mark O’Brien from Gotta Swing (Invitational Teacher) – We will be running Balboa Classes ever Tuesday for the whole Month of February and March the for April we will be running Blues Classes with invitational goes teachers from Dance the Blues Brisbane (Brian and Sheryl).

Other specialty classes on the list are:  Tap, Jazz, Cabaret, Rockabilly, Rock n Roll to name a few and anything else you would like us to throw in the mix for something different on Tuesdays.

Wednesdays @ Bangalow Bowlo..  Our biggest class and filled with an eclectic bunch of beautiful people that love to socialise and have fun whilst learning.  There’s a growing cross pollination between the GC and NSW groups which has created this feeling of a large, connected and friendly community of Swing Dancers and Ray and I… LOVE IT!!

Thursdays @ Gold Coast – Welcome to our MAIN Lindy Hop/Swing Dance Night – Yes we moved from Tuesdays to Thursday to allow us more time on the night to teach and social dance – we now have 3 full hours of swing dancing fun.  So far, so good… We understand it takes a wee bit to reschedule lives to accomodate a new night of swing dancing fun and we look forward to seeing you all as you make Thursday nights part of your regular weeks dancing fun with us.

THIS FRIDAY marks the 1st Friday of the Month and you know what that means?:  It’s Swing Out with Swing On In Time…  The Weather is going to be PERFECT for Swing Dancing… 24Degrees and southerly breeze…

Join us for our monthly social dance on the best little dance floor in Qld.

Great friends, community spirit, AWESOME music and great dancing.

Swing-A-Billy Ray and guest DJ’s will keep your toes tappin and dancin all night.

8PM til late.. BYO your refreshments and $10 at the door for dancers..

FREE for new non dancing guests that just want to see what its all about! (Time to bring your friends!!)

Join us for a family friendly day at Kingscliff, starting at 10:00am (NSW time) …. bring a picnic lunch and drinks or cook on the Stainless Steel Heaters/BBQ … There will be, not necessarily in this order, music (I’m guessing Swing), games, dancing, swimming and picnicking…. did I mention dancing! ?????
