Well Done Swing On In and the Wider Swing Dance Community!
On Friday Night Swing On In held its Christmas Dance and asked everyone to bring a gift for a child. We wanted to help (In a small way) to put a smile on the faces of our kids in crisis this Christmas. So many gifts stacked on top of each other and ready to be collected by our chosen charity. Our Swing Dance Community is so full of heart and I was so thrilled when I saw how many gifts there were to donate. Well done you lovely dancers!! Who are we donating to? Read on…
We have decided to donate these gifts to : MY FRIENDS PLACE This Charity cares for a lot of women and their children keeping them safe and helping to rebuild their lives after domestic violence or abuse. There were so many charities worthwhile when I started looking of one for these gifts and I went with My Friends Place as it does not have a high profile and is totally run by caring volunteers and they are doing such great “ground roots level” work for our Gold Coast Women and Children.
