Phew, well that was fun! Cooly Rocks On never disappoints — 5 days of dancing, chaos, live music, multiple outfit changes, cars, shopping, eats, drinks and repeat! 🚗🎶
The Moonlight Swing Dance was so fabulous with our first ever international swing bands — Sam Ghezzi & His Dream Makers (The Netherlands & Paris) and The Hi Stakes! Both full of cheek, energy and SO much talent. We love them! 🎺
Ray and I are almost recovered, and the washing and putting away from that week is almost done. Now, on to the next things — strap in, this one’s jam packed again!

Introducing The Half Breaks Dance Troupe!
Want to join our dance troupe? We’re excited to announce the launch of The Half Breaks Dance Performance Troupe, proudly operating under the Swing On In banner!
This is a fantastic opportunity for dancers who love performing, being part of a team, and representing Swing On In at events and festivals throughout the year.
Just announced — the fabulous Waka will be taking on the Dance Troupe Manager role, working alongside Ray and Chrissy to coordinate rehearsals, performances, choreography, and the ongoing development of the troupe. She’s keen to dive in!

Redland Showground. Ray will be DJ’ing and Miss Chrissy will have her Pop Up Pin Up Styling Salon doing hair and makeup and selling clothes! Cars, live entertainment, markets — and lots of dancing!
Cairns Swing Festival
A few of us Swing On In kids are heading up to support Cairns Swing Festival with John and Mallory and the crazy Swingrays crew! Bonus for us — the Sydney Swing Katz will be there too, so more learning and fun to be had!

Shout Out — Our Swing On In Pin Up Girls (and Boy!)
I love supporting growth not only in our students’ swing dancing, but through their further discovery of fashion, style, era, and all things vintage vibes (not vintage values)! 💕
This year, when I asked some of our Swing On In girls who wanted to enter the Cooly Rocks On Pin Up Pageant — the largest and most respected pageant in Australia — to my delight and sheer pride, Abbey, Amanda and Heather all put their hands up!
Brand new to this world, Abbey and Amanda embraced all the learning and fun in creating a pin up name, getting outfits together, and creating and rehearsing their talent sections. Keeping it top line:

Bon Voyage Again, RSO!
See you when your nose is straighter! 😄 David is spending the inheritance again and heading off to support two upcoming Lindy Exchanges — and hopefully representing and sprucing up Byron Bay Lindy Exchange while he’s at it!
