Why BBLX?

We threw the question out to the community what is so special about dance exchanges and here are some of our favourite comments:

@mela_2606 – Dance exchanges are a phenomenal way to not only further develop yourself as a dancer, learning and dancing with new people you wouldn’t normally have a chance to. And, more importantly meet new dancers, musicians, teachers, etc. from different cities, countries, cultures and whether you speak the same language or not you can share a mutual love for dance together. And, what a fantastic excuse to travel with new and familiar faces.

@operation_dance_mutt – All locations have a different pulse to their dancing, by traveling more for dance we diversify the dancing in our own cities which keeps the swing dance community growing and evolving

@rachaeleball – ❤️because at swing exchanges you realise you belong to a group of the coolest people ever. ❤️Because at swing exchanges you learn that you’re never too old to be silly and joyful and dance into the wee hours of the morning!

@Nicmars – Exchanges are a great way to meet new friends, learn new moves and increase your social dancing repertoire 😀

@chamibearr – Dance exchanges remind us it’s more than steps. it’s community, growth, and the joy of sharing music together 🕺

@orah.2002 – Lindy Hop dance exchanges are the heartbeat of our community, keeping this joyful dance alive and thriving. They’re more than just events—they’re like a beautiful jam circle, where old friends and new ones step in, share their rhythm, and inspire each other. Some of my best memories are dancing around the world, as it is an instant community—from little pubs in Australia to old mansions in New York. Every exchange is a chance to move in sync with someone different, to grow in confidence, and to remember why we fell in love with this dance —it’s about people, passion, and the dance of life itself.

Our first-ever exchange is going to be a huge, joy-filled weekend of live bands, DJs, socials, and swingin’ good times. Whether you’re a dancer or just love great music and atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.
